Delta Air Lines will launch daily nonstop flights between Boston Logan International Airport and Iceland’s Keflavik Airport on April 12, 2027, the airline said in an October 16 route announcement. The seasonal flights to the Reykjavik area are scheduled through October 30, adding another choice for New England travelers heading across the Atlantic.

Delta says the new destination will bring its peak-season long-haul network from Boston to 14 cities. The flight will serve New England travelers directly and offer another transatlantic option for passengers connecting through Logan.

When Delta’s Boston to Reykjavik flights will operate

The carrier’s October 16 schedule announcement specifies daily service from April 12 through October 30, 2027. The flights serve Keflavik International Airport (KEF), Iceland’s main international gateway, rather than Reykjavik’s smaller domestic airport.

Keflavik is southwest of the capital, so travelers need to arrange a ground transfer after arrival. The distinction matters when booking hotels, connecting trips or tours that start in Reykjavik.

How Iceland fits Delta’s Boston network

Delta describes Boston as its closest U.S. hub to Europe. The Iceland route adds a northern destination to its transatlantic schedule and another nonstop departure point for travelers in the region.

Delta first began nonstop service between New York-JFK and Keflavik in June 2011, according to the carrier. The Boston flight will expand its U.S. departure options for Iceland, not mark its first service to the country.

Aircraft and booking details for Delta’s Iceland route

Delta plans to operate the service with a Boeing 757-200, offering Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main. AeroSillage has separately examined why the Boeing 757 remains in airline service decades after its introduction.

Travelers should verify their flight dates, any connection at Logan and the ground transfer from Keflavik. Delta also plans four weekly nonstop flights from Boston to Venice beginning May 7, 2027, as part of its wider transatlantic expansion.
