JetBlue BlueFirst to Debut on Boston-Fort Lauderdale Flights December 8
JetBlue will debut BlueFirst between Boston and Fort Lauderdale on December 8, 2026. Its introductory $299 fare was offered only through October 16.

JetBlue will launch its new BlueFirst domestic first-class service on daily flights between Boston Logan and Fort Lauderdale on December 8, 2026, marking the start of a wider premium-cabin rollout across its network. The carrier began taking reservations on October 15, with additional routes planned through 2027.
JetBlue advertised introductory BlueFirst seats from $299 one way on Boston-Fort Lauderdale for bookings made by October 16. The lower $249 price cited in its marketing applied to certain other routes, not the inaugural Boston service. Those advertised launch fares are no longer available under that promotion.
What BlueFirst offers on JetBlue’s Boston flights
According to JetBlue’s October 15 announcement, BlueFirst uses a dedicated two-by-two cabin on aircraft that do not have the airline’s Mint business-class product. The airline promises more personal space, upgraded food and drink service and additional onboard amenities.
BlueFirst will complement Mint, JetBlue’s lie-flat business-class product, by offering a premium cabin on shorter routes such as Boston-Fort Lauderdale.
JetBlue lists a 13.3-inch seatback screen, Bluetooth audio connectivity and priority boarding among the cabin features. On flights of at least 899 miles, JetBlue says BlueFirst will include a bento-style FirstFare meal box with an entrée, side and dessert; other flights offer premium snacks and drinks. Those features are part of JetBlue’s published plans ahead of the first BlueFirst flight.
BlueFirst routes expand beyond Fort Lauderdale
JetBlue lists Boston-Austin and Boston-Houston among the next markets planned for January 2027, followed by Boston-Fort Myers in February. Other Boston routes, including several Florida destinations, are listed for later in the spring. Specific aircraft assignments and available dates may change as JetBlue introduces the product.
Passengers should confirm that BlueFirst appears on the exact flight they intend to book rather than assume every flight on a listed route includes the cabin. JetBlue says the product will initially operate only on selected services, with a staged rollout across more than 30 routes.
BlueFirst fare options and upgrades
JetBlue offers three BlueFirst fare options with different baggage, seat-selection and refund terms. The standard BlueFirst fare includes two checked bags, advance seat selection and no change or cancellation fees. BlueFirst Base includes one checked bag and free seat selection only within 24 hours of departure; changes or cancellations can incur fees. BlueFirst Flex adds refunds to the original payment method for eligible cancellations and fee-free same-day switches or standby. Travelers can compare the published BlueFirst fare conditions before booking.
JetBlue says eligible Mosaic members and Premier Card members can receive complimentary BlueFirst upgrades when seats are available, starting 60 minutes before departure. Main Base and EvenMore Base fares are excluded. The airline explains the process in its BlueFirst upgrade guidance.
