easyJet to introduce Starlink Wi-Fi on Airbus flights from 2027
easyJet plans Starlink inflight Wi-Fi on A320, A320neo and A321neo aircraft from the first half of 2027, with installations expected to finish by early 2028. Pricing has not been announced.

easyJet will begin installing Starlink Wi-Fi on its Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft in the first half of 2027, the British airline announced on Monday 26 October 2026. It plans to finish the rollout by early 2028, giving passengers internet access on board for the first time in the carrier’s history.
The deal with SpaceX covers easyJet’s A320, A320neo and A321neo aircraft. Passengers are expected to be able to stream video, browse the internet and play online games on their own devices. The airline has not identified the first aircraft or routes to receive the equipment.
easyJet plans Starlink rollout across its Airbus fleet
Under the timetable set out in easyJet’s 26 October announcement, installations will start during the first six months of 2027 and continue into early 2028. The airline’s Airbus A319 aircraft are not included in the announced programme.
That means availability will depend on the aircraft operating each flight during the rollout. Passengers booking a route served by several Airbus types should not expect every departure to offer Wi-Fi immediately.
Starlink’s network of satellites in low Earth orbit is designed to deliver broadband internet to aircraft in flight. SpaceX president and chief operating officer Gwynne Shotwell said the system would support connectivity from take-off to landing. For easyJet, whose passengers currently travel without onboard internet access, the change would make streaming, messaging and browsing possible during short European flights.
Will easyJet’s Starlink Wi-Fi be free?
easyJet has not announced a price or said whether access will be complimentary. A spokesperson told PaxEx.Aero that details of how passengers will use the service, including pricing, would follow as the first equipped aircraft enter service.
There are uses beyond entertainment. easyJet envisages passengers checking flight information through its app or website, looking up weather and onward transport before landing, and potentially ordering from the onboard menu through their own devices. The airline has not confirmed that mobile ordering will be available at launch.
Why easyJet is investing in onboard connectivity
The announcement marks a change in approach. Earlier in 2026, easyJet chief executive Kenton Jarvis questioned the economics of installing Starlink on a low-cost airline’s fleet. easyJet has now signed an agreement with SpaceX, although it has not disclosed the contract’s financial terms.
Jarvis said the connection would appeal both to holidaymakers wanting entertainment and to business passengers who need to work while travelling. Other airlines are making similar investments, including American Airlines, which plans to equip more than 1,000 aircraft with Starlink.
For passengers, the immediate difference will come one aircraft at a time. From next year, two easyJet flights on the same route could offer very different options for staying connected.
