Updated 7 October 2026.
The easyJet France pilot strike planned for 1 and 2 October 2026 was called off by the SNPL on 25 September after negotiations produced a proposed agreement. Those dates should therefore no longer be treated as an active strike risk. The agreement notably addresses roster stability, one of the main issues behind the dispute.
Strike notice withdrawn
After several strike notices and postponements, SNPL France ALPA announced on 25 September that it was withdrawing the action planned for 1 and 2 October. The union said talks with easyJet had progressed enough to produce a proposed agreement.
The agreement still has to be approved by the pilots concerned, but the operational point is already clear: the strike notice itself has been lifted.
The dispute focused on roster stability
The conflict mainly concerned the stability of pilot rosters, with the union arguing that frequent schedule changes were affecting work-life balance. Union representatives had travelled to easyJet’s headquarters in Luton to continue negotiations.
The action would have concerned pilots based at Paris-Orly, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Nantes, Lyon, Nice and Bordeaux.
What passengers need to know
There is no longer an active strike notice for 1 and 2 October in this dispute. Any disruption observed on those dates should not automatically be attributed to this easyJet France pilot action without separate confirmation.
For other October labour disputes, AeroSillage is maintaining an updated October 2026 aviation strike calendar.
What remains to watch
The next formal step is approval of the agreement by the pilots concerned. For travellers, however, the key point is settled: the 1–2 October easyJet France strike notice was withdrawn.
