Cyprus Airways plans daily Larnaca–Stansted flights from April 2027

Cyprus Airways plans to begin a daily, year-round Larnaca–London Stansted service on 23 April 2027. The route was announced on 21 October 2026.

Cyprus Airways plans to begin daily flights between Larnaca and London Stansted on 23 April 2027, returning to the London market with a year-round service. The airline announced the route on 21 October 2026 and has opened bookings for travel between Cyprus and the UK.

Stansted gives the carrier an airport serving London, the East of England and parts of the South East. A daily schedule would also make the route more flexible than a service operating on only two or three days a week.

Cyprus Airways sets April date for Stansted service

In its 21 October announcement, Cyprus Airways confirmed that flights would begin on 23 April and operate throughout the year. Tickets are available through its website, mobile app and travel agents. The airline did not give headline fares or flight times in the release.

The route will connect Larnaca International Airport with Stansted rather than Heathrow or Gatwick. That distinction matters to travellers planning onward journeys: Stansted is north-east of central London, with rail and road links into the capital and surrounding counties.

For passengers living in Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, the airport may offer a more convenient departure point than London’s western and southern airports. Those travelling into central London will need to factor in the onward journey when comparing itineraries.

UK flights join Cyprus Airways’ expanding European network

Cyprus Airways’ chief executive Thanos Pascalis described Britain as an important market, citing demand from holidaymakers, business travellers and people visiting relatives. Those passengers travel in both directions, including UK residents heading to Cyprus and Cypriots visiting Britain.

The airline operates from Larnaca under the Charlie Airlines name and has Airbus A320 and A220 aircraft in its fleet. It has not confirmed a specific aircraft assignment for every Stansted departure.

Its existing network includes flights to Paris, Milan Malpensa, Athens and Heraklion. The Stansted announcement follows plans for year-round routes to Munich and Rome Fiumicino, part of an effort to connect Larnaca with more European cities outside the summer peak.

The carrier also has services to destinations in the Middle East, including Tel Aviv, Beirut and Dubai. The London link would add another substantial international market to a network spanning Europe and the eastern Mediterranean.

What daily Larnaca flights offer UK travellers

Flights seven days a week can be useful for passengers whose plans do not fit a traditional Saturday-to-Saturday holiday. Business trips, family visits and short breaks are easier to arrange when the return flight is not limited to particular weekdays.

The service is scheduled to begin before the main summer travel season but continue through winter. That year-round commitment is the main difference from a route designed only for peak holiday demand.

Stansted will become another London-area option for direct flights to Larnaca from late April. The final choice for passengers will depend on the timetable, fare and cost of travelling to and from the airport.
