Air France and Transavia resume Beirut flights

Air France-KLM is progressively restoring services between Paris and Beirut. Transavia was due to resume flights to the Lebanese capital on Friday, September 25, 2026, with Air France following on Saturday, September 26. The routes had been suspended since February 28 amid the military escalation in the Middle East.

What is known

Transavia was scheduled to reopen Paris-Orly–Beirut from September 25, including flight TO4250 departing Orly at 12:15. Air France planned to resume Beirut services on September 26. The restart remained subject to continuing assessment of the regional security situation and could therefore change at short notice.

What it changes for travellers

The return of both French carriers restores significant nonstop capacity between France and Lebanon after several months of suspension. Transavia provides point-to-point service from Orly, while Air France also offers connections through its Paris network.

Passengers nevertheless need to check flight status directly with their airline because the Middle East security environment can still lead to rapid operational adjustments.

A regional network still heavily disrupted

The Beirut restart did not mean a general return to normal for Air France in the Middle East. At the time of the source article, flights to and from Riyadh remained suspended through September 28 inclusive and Dubai through October 13 inclusive, while Tel Aviv services were reported as operating normally.

What to watch

The first resumed rotations, possible schedule changes and any evolution in security guidance remain the key points to monitor.

Why the restart matters

Restoring service to Beirut is more than a timetable change. It signals that the airlines consider the operating environment sufficiently manageable for a controlled return, while still retaining the ability to adjust schedules if regional conditions deteriorate.
